"The Cuckoo" (Guckguck)

Fröbel said that a human being can find God in the Holy Bible, in Nature and in himself. God, Nature and Mankind you can see in "The Cuckoo" (A 19). A mother with her children form a little group. Behind the group is a rising sun, a common symbol of God. The mother is Nature and the child Mankind. But, of course, at the first glance you meet a mother who is playing "Hide and Seek" with her children. The picture is built up like an icon with the madonna and her child. If you include the children, the mother and the sun you can find an equilateral triangle, the symbole of The Holy Trinity.
